2 modifications are proposed:

 

A/ The removal of Balance Potentiometers

B/ The upgrade from Noble potentiometer to ALPS potentiometer for early Urei 1620

 

 

Before you begin

Disclaimer: I'm not responsible for anything you do to your mixer. This text is for informational purposes only.  What you do with your mixer is your decision and if you mess them up don't blame me.  If you have no experience with electronics then don't take them apart.

 

 

 A/ The removal of Balance potentiometer

 

Remove the balance potentiometer and add 5kOhm resistor between pin1-pin2 and pin2-pin3 of each channel

 

 

 

B/ The upgrade from Noble potentiometer to ALPS potentiometer for early Urei 1620

 

Remove the Noble potentiometer

Link a cable of 8cm to each pin of the ALPS potentiometer

 

Solder the cables to the right points of PCB Card (as above)

 

 

Use a thick glue to solder Noble potentiometer and take care to align the Noble potentiometer to the balance potentiometer
