The best club in the world !

what said Laurent Garner about a live recording he did there:

"This is the last 5 hours out of a 7hours set I did last month in Tokyo at the Yellow club... It is already very late when I start playing and the room is absolutely going mad. Japan has always been one of the best place on earth to      play music, and this was definitely one of my favorite night ever... As you will hear, in Japan you can play everything... I mean everything... Thanks to the crowd who was there and made that night soooooooooo special to me."

What said Kerri Chandler in an interview:

"My best experience as a DJ?.....Wow! That's really hard to say. I've had so many places that gave me so much love. But, I would have to say the first time I went to Japan on my birthday. That's gotta be one of the most exciting experiences that I've ever had at Club Yellow, which is one of my all-time favorite clubs."

History:

"Yellow opened the door on 12 December 1991. It was produced by the same team who owned the legendary club called "P.PICASSO" in nishiazabu and "CAVE" in shibuya. This venue was created for the purpose of having the place to do a party called "WORLD CONNECTION", which has been bringing top DJs and performers from overseas and also to have DJ K.U.D.O.'s
"TRANCENIGHT" party. It's a second biggest venue in Tokyo at that time.

Here we can try anything we want, be experimental and we named it "SPACE LAB YELLOW".
We invited Victor Rosado from New York as the opening DJ and 2000 people gathered.

Francois Kevorkian's first appearance in February 1992. Started publishing YELLOW MAG in September on the same year.
In December 1993, started Yellow's record label "EAST EDGE". The first vinyl 001 by DJ K.U.D.O. sold out right away.
On 24 December 1994, we had the very first performance of Lolleata Halloway, it was also the first appearance at a club in the world.
In November 1995, we threw a massive techno rave party "MADE IN HEAVEN" at laforet Iikura, which featured drum'n bass floor (then jungle) at first in Japan.
In April 1996, One night big rave party "SOUND OF UNIVERSE" held at laforet Iikura and it's compilation album was released from Toshiba EMI.
Extensively refurbished in May and since then we are keeping this style which convey the mood of both big club and small friendly club.
YELLOW BOARD started in April 1997.
The first live P.A. of Jocelyn Brown at "WORLD CONNECTION" 10th anniversary party in September 1998.
Dance floor and the DJ booth had refurbished in 1999.
Finally we had DEEP DISH in December 2000, it took 3 years to bring them over.
YELLOW MAG issue 100 was published in March 2001. YELLOW BOARD changed URL since June. At last long-awaited artist from Detroit, MOODYMANN had showed up at yellow.
We had our 10th anniversary party on 12 December 2001 and the DJ was, once again, Francois K."
